Cointelegraph’ın Suudi Arabistan merkezli finans haber platformu Agraam’a dayandırdığı haberinde, projenin amacının BAE Merkez Bankası’nın paylaştığı üzere iki ülke (BAE-Suudi Arabistan) arasında yapılacak para transferleri için kullanılması öngörülmekte.

Hatırlanacağı üzere Aralık 2018’de iki ülkenin dijital para ile para transferlerinin gerçekleştirilmesi ile ilgili demeçleri olmuştu. Bu süreç bir müddettir sessiz bir şekilde yürütüldü. Suudi Arabistan Parasal Yetki Kurumu (SAMA) da dijital para kullanımının önemine dikkat çekmişti.

Bugün itibariyle paylaşılan haberler de göstermektedir ki; önümüzdeki 12 ay içerisinde 6 bankanın bankalar arası dijital para temelli transfer gerçekleştirebilmek üzere proje geliştirmeyi tamamlamayı planlamaktadır.

Geçtiğimiz ay her iki ülkenin ortak kripto para geliştirme fikri ile ilgili de basın açıklaması yapılmıştı. Her iki ülkenin öncelikli amacının Blockchain teknolojisini anlamak ve en iyi düzeyde faydalanmak olduğunu göz önünde bulundurduğumuzda daha sansasyonel projelerin geliştirilebileceğini düşünüyorum.

Daha önce 2018 yılında da yine BAE’den ülkenin Blockchain cenneti yapılmak istendiği şeklinde de çeşitli açıklamalar gelmişti.

Dubai’nin de yine aynı şekilde BAE ulusal parası olan Dirhem kuruna sabitlendirilmiş dijital para geliştirme fikri de paylaşılmıştı.

Son gelişmeler göstermektedir ki; Blockchain Teknolojisi devletler tarafından daha somut kullanılmaya başlanacaktır. Özellikle geçtiğimiz Aralık ayında G-20 devletlerinin paylaştıkları notlardan birinin de Blockchain ve kripto para ilişkili olduğunu göz önünde tuttuğumuzda teknolojinin adaptasyonu ile ilgili daha fazla ilişkili haber göreceğimizi düşünüyorum.
