Binance’in finansal suçlar uyumluluk başkanı Tigran Gambrayan ve Afrika’daki Binance‘in bölgesel müdürü Nadeem Anjarwalla, başlangıçta Şubat ayının sonlarında Nijerya’nın başkenti Abuja’da gözaltına alındılar.

Suçlamalar arasında Binance Yöneticilerinin Duruşması Ertelendi

Her iki yöneticinin de kara para aklama suçlamalarıyla ve uygun lisans olmadan kripto borsası işletmekle suçlanmalarına rağmen, Anjarwalla geçen ay başarılı bir şekilde esaretten kaçmayı başardığı için Perşembe günü yapılan duruşmaya sadece Gambrayan katıldı.

Hakim Emeka Nwite, Binance‘a ek bir vergi kaçırma suçlaması haberleri üzerine duruşmayı 19 Nisan’a kadar ertelemeyi kabul etti.

Ertelenme, uzun zamandır Nijerya yetkililerinin elinde tutulan çalışanlarının serbest bırakılmasını savunan kripto borsası için neredeyse iki aylık bir hukuki maceranın en son dönemeçini işaret ediyor.

Binance, çalışanları için X üzerinden kampanya başlattı.

Kripto borsası, 3 Nisan’daki bir açıklamada, “Binance, şu anda Binance ve Nijerya hükümet yetkilileri arasında devam eden görüşmeler sırasında, şirkette karar alma yetkisi olmayan Tigran Gambaryan’ın sorumlu tutulmamasını saygıyla talep ediyor” dedi.

INTERPOL’un Binance Nijerya Davasıyla İlgilendiği Bildiriliyor

Nijerya’daki yasal gecikme, Uluslararası Suçlarla Mücadele Örgütü (INTERPOL)’nün Anjarwalla‘yı Nijerya’ya iade etme umuduyla davayla ilgilendiği haberinin sızdırılmasından sadece bir gün sonra geldi.

“Nijeryalı haber sitesi The Punch, “Bay Anjarwalla‘nın iade süreci başladı” dedi. “Federal Hükümet, INTERPOL ile işbirliği yaparak kaçakçıyı Nijerya‘ya iade etmek için çalışıyor. O, yasal gözaltından kaçan bir kaçakçı ve diğer ortağı hala gözaltında ve Perşembe günü (4 Nisan) şirketleri Binance ile birlikte yargılanacak.”

Perşembe günü, Nijerya Polis Genel Müdürü Olukayode Egbetokun, gazetecilere Anjarwalla‘nın nihai olarak yakalanacağı konusunda güven duyduğunu belirtti.

“Egbetokun, “INTERPOL‘ün ne yaptığını size söylemeyeceğim, ancak size şunu söylemeliyim ki biz çok şey yapıyoruz,” dedi. “Şüphelinin tekrar gözaltına alınacağına size temin edebilirim.”
