Tüm zamanların en ünlü metal gruplarından biri olan Metallica‘nın resmi X hesabı, birçok kişinin bir hack saldırısı olduğunu düşündüğü bilinmeyen bir grup tarafından METAL takma adlı Solana token‘ini tanıtmak için hacklenmiş olabilir.

16 Haziran’da yapılan gönderide, Solana token dağıtıcısı pump.fun kullanılarak başlatılan bu token’in Ticketmaster ile ortaklıkla yapıldığı iddia edilmiş, ancak bilet satışı ve dağıtım şirketi Ticketmaster‘ın böyle bir duyurusu şu ana dek görülmedi.

Token ile ilgili tüm gönderiler kısa süre sonra silindi.

Metallica‘nın X hesabı daha sonra MoonPay Başkanı Keith A. Grossman‘ın okuyuculara “dikkatli olun” uyarısını tekrar paylaşmış ve “MoonPay, Solana üzerinde $METAL‘i desteklememektedir” notunu düştü — bu da grubun token’i kendilerinin başlatmadığını ima etmektedir.

MoonPay, resmi hesabından bir güvenlik uyarısı da paylaştı. “Eğer biri size $METAL tokeni teklif ediyorsa, onlar kuklaların efendisi değil, dolandırıcılığın efendisidir,” diyerek ünlü Metallica albümü “Master of Puppets“e atıfta bulundu.
