Sektör paydaşlarına göre, Birleşik Krallık‘taki seçim, ülkenin kripto sektörünü düzenleme konusunda kaydettiği ilerlemeyi engellemeyecek. Bu yıl seçim yapılması beklenirken, henüz kesin bir tarihin açıklanmadığını ifade edebiliriz.

Yaklaşık 14 yıldır hükümette olan Muhafazakar Parti, Mayıs 2010’da ilk kez seçildiği tarihten bu yana bir dizi kripto önlemi başlattı. Parti, ülkeyi 2022’de bir kripto merkezi haline getirmeyi amaçladı ve o zamandan beri kriptonun Finansal Davranış Otoritesi (FCA) tarafından finansal bir faaliyet olarak düzenlenmesini sağlayacak bir piyasa yasası çıkardı. Muhafazakarlar, gelecek haftalarda (önümüzdeki seçimden önce) stabil paralar ve staking için yasal düzenlemeleri hayata geçirmeyi taahhüt etti. Birçok kişi bunun gerçekçi bir hedef olduğuna inanıyor.

Kripto paralar ile ilişkili yasal düzenlemelerin artması bekleniyor

İnovasyon Finansı‘nın politika direktörü Adam Jackson, bir röportajda, ülkenin, stabil paralar da dahil olmak üzere kripto paraları düzenlemesi için resmi olarak FCA‘ya görev veren ikincil düzenlemelere ihtiyacı olduğunu belirtti.

“Hükümetin yapacağını söylediği şey bu,” diyen Jackson; “Neden bunun mümkün olmadığına dair başka bir açıklama duymadık. Dolayısıyla, her şey eşitse, genel seçim zamanına kadar bu yetkilere sahip olmalılar.” diye ekledi.

Crypto Council for Innovation‘da Birleşik Krallık politika lideri Laura Navaratnam, Muhafazakar hükümetinin şu anda “kesinlikle” doğru yolda olduğunu ve hatta ülkenin düzenleyicileri – Bank of England ve FCA – stabil paralar üzerine tartışma belgeleri yayınlayarak ilerlediğini ekledi.
