The Open Network (TON) blockchain‘ın X hesabı, Telegram‘ın kurucusu ve CEO’su Pavel Durov‘un Fransa’da gözaltına alınmasının ardından destek açıklaması yaptı. Açıklamada, “Telegram’ın kurucusu Pavel Durov ile ilgili son haberlerin ardından, TON topluluğunun güçlü ve tamamen operasyonel olduğunu garanti etmek istiyoruz. Özgürlük ve merkezsizleşmeye bağlı bir topluluk olarak, Pavel’i bu zor zamanda kesinlikle destekliyoruz,” denildi.

Durov’un Cumartesi günü Paris’teki Le Bourget havaalanında, Azerbaycan’dan bir güvenlik görevlisi ve bilinmeyen bir kadın ile birlikte özel jetinden indikten sonra gözaltına alındığı bildirildi. Telegram uygulamasının operasyonlarıyla ilgili, terörizm, uyuşturucu, komploculuk, dolandırıcılık, kara para aklama, çalıntı mal kabulü ve pedokriminal içerik gibi suçlamalarla karşılaşabileceği belirtiliyor.

Açıklamanın, Durov‘un gözaltına alınmasının ardından Toncoin‘in %20 oranında düşen fiyatını toparlamak amacıyla yapıldığı düşünülüyor. “Herkesi sakin kalmaya, birleşmeye ve bu durumu birlikte aşarken yapıyı güçlendirmeye devam etmeye teşvik ediyoruz,” denildi. Token şu anda son 24 saatte %14 oranında bir düşüş yaşıyor.

Kripto topluluğundan ve dışarıdan diğer önemli figürler de Durov’a destek verdiler; bunlar arasında Amerikalı gazeteci Tucker Carlson ve X platformunun sahibi Elon Musk bulunuyor. VC fonu Pantera Capital’in genel ortağı Franklin Bi, “#FreePavel” mesajını paylaştı.
