Venezuela Ulusal Meclis Başkanı Juan Guaido’nun, Chavez’in 5 Mart 2013’te hayatını kaybetmesinden sonra devlet başkanı olan Nicolas Maduro’ya karşı devlet başkanlığı yemini ederek geçici devlet başkanlığı görevini üstelendiğini açıklamasından sonra Venazuela adeta diken üstünde. Nicolas Maduro’ya karşı Juan Guaido’nun geçici devlet başkanlığını jet hızıyla kabul eden ABD Başkanı Donald Trump’a destek Kanada, Fransa, AB ülkeleri ve birçok ülkeden gelirken Nicolas Maduro’ya destek Türkiye başta olmak üzere Rusya, İran ve Çin’den geldi. Dünya Juan Guaido ve Nicolas Maduro’nun başkanlığını tartışırken Nicolas Madura’ya karşı başkanlık yemini eden Juan Guaido’nun Bitcoin hayranı olduğu ortaya çıktı. Juan Guaido 2014 yılında twitter hesabından Bitcoin twitti atarken Bitcoin henüz 500 dolardı.

ABD Başkanı Trump tarafından dün Venezuela başkanı olarak tanınan Juan Guaido, Bitcoin’e olan ilgisi ile dikkatten kaçmadı. Nicolas Maduro’ya, karşı devlet başkanlığı yemini ederek geçici devlet başkanlığı görevini üstelendiğini açıklayan Guaido’nun 2014 yılında dünyanın gözü henüz Bitcoin’in üzerinde değilken Bitcoin hakkında twitt attığı ortaya çıktı. Juan Guaido 2014 tarihinde Twitter hesabından Venezuela’nın ilk Bitcoin borsasının açıldığını bildiren bir haber paylaşmış. Bu sırada Bitcoin, 500 dolardan işlem görüyordu.

Eflasyonun tavan yaptığı Venezuela’da halk kripto paralara yönelmeye başladı ve bazıları Bitcoin’in potansiyel bir çözüm olabileceğine inanırken, Venezuela Petro adında petrol destekli resmi bir kripto para bile çıkardı.
